Why You Can’t Leave Work at Work
You closed the laptop hours ago. But you’re still replaying the meeting. You’re thinking about what your boss said, what you should have said, whether your coworker was being passive-aggressive, whether you overreacted, and what you’re going to do when you walk back into work tomorrow. Technically, you left work, but your brain didn’t. When work keeps following you home, it’s easy to assume the solution is better work-life balance. Turn off notifications. Stop checking email.
